I'm Fired

I know I've been working waaaay too hard lately because I've been dreaming in HTML code (again). It starts as a normal dream, then it's just not quite right because the tables are messed up, and I start debugging it.

Last night I reached a new level -- Donald Trump appeared & said "You're Fired". I even remember calling him "Mr. Trump".

If only I had a lucid dream, I would have ripped off that hair like Kimberly on Melrose Place. Seriously, that's what I think he is hiding. A big, gigantic, jagged scar. He's just waiting till the season finale to do a big reveal.

Googled Brain

I love Google. Over the last 6 years, Google has drastically increased my knowledge of topics ranging from "css flyout menus" to "smurf name generators" to "eunuchs". In a recent conversation about "dry needling", I realized that Carl & I were quoting the same page that we both read on Google after a quick search. This got me to wondering, as more & more people Google, will the world's collective knowledge shift to be primarily facts found on the first page of search results? Or worse yet, will it be based on the paid Adwords?

Is a news story not worth reading if the headline doesn't appear within the top 3 listed on My Yahoo homepage?

Is a friend not worth keeping in touch with if they aren't on my Friendster or AIM contact list?

Are we being tricked into thinking our minds are expanding globally but at the same time be literally filtering all of our knowledge through the latest search algorithm, xml feed or online community?

Do we care?

Dean Goes Nuts Update

I just checked on the http://deangoesnuts.com site & it's now not filled with nuts like the one on the left. I'm amused because the illustrations look exactly like the hundreds of "industrial drawings" I've had to do over the years. Just in case you are wondering what I actually DO for a living.

On second thought, this post does relate to my previous one. Black & white nuts! ;-)
